All schools in Bloemfontein can work with the Alliance Française de Bloemfontein and have their learners register for French as second additional language and write the IEB examination for matric that is recognised by the Department of Education. In the grade 10,11 and matric year, the learners’ marks are given to their schools, who enter it into the SASAMS system.

During the matric year, students write their 3 school examinations, of which the June and September exams are particularly set out according to the prescriptions of the IEB.

Learners also do several oral examinations and are tested by an IEB examiner in October, just before the final exams start. Our matrics have received distinctions for French, our standard is excellent!
