Alliance Française de Bloemfontein

Alliance Française de Bloemfontein

Established in 1953, the Alliance Française de Bloemfontein is a non-profit organisation with the main objective to promote the French language and culture as well as intercultural exchanges between France, French-speaking countries and South Africa. It is located in the suburb of Dan Pienaar in Bloemfontein, Free State, South Africa. Our office has secure parking and friendly staff. It is an ideal place to learn French, at your own pace according to your personal objectives.

The Alliance Française team represents diversity. We all share our passion for the French language, which is either a mother tongue to some or the language of education to others. However, we love the language, and love sharing it with people. Our teachers are trained to use all communicative methods and will pass on their love of the language to you in a professional and relaxed atmosphere. They are qualified, either holders of postgraduate degrees (Honours/Masters) in French and/or Higher Education or trained through various programmes implemented through the Embassy of France in South Africa and training centres in France. All our teachers are also accredited assessors of the DELF/DALF internationally accredited exams.

At the Alliance Française de Bloemfontein you will also have the opportunity to take part in many cultural and social events. We organise lovely events which include French food, wine, games and outings. We also visit a French centre in Lesotho twice a year for a weekend of French conversation and food.
